City Nature Challenge weekend - SIP adapted!

Mark your calendars - the last week of April is City Nature Challenge weekend! But this year, instead of organizing many BioBlitz events around the bay, we encourage people to go out to their back yard or go for a walk around the block. You'd be amazed at what you could find on your own balcony! Stay tuned for some suggestions for how you could attract nature to your yard. For now, consider placing logs or cardboard on some bare soil in your yard. Some interesting creatures might move in just in time for the CNC weekend! 

On Saturday, 4/25, from 10-12, join us for a virtual iNaturalist training for begginers, and watch Merav Vonshak explaining how to find wildlife in her backyard. 

Tentative plan: 

10 am - basic iNaturalist use - how to get started, how to make an observation, how to add it to a project  

10:45 am - participants will have time to go and make observations around their homes  

11:15 am - participants will start returning home, sharing their observations and getting assistance 

11:45 am - recap, discuss observations, help identify, etc.
