Gall Week Spring 2026 event

Join our 9th Gall Week event this fall! Gall Week is a global event aiming to increase our knowledge about these little-known organisms!

Gall Week events: 

• Make observations between 5/2-10/2026, and add them manually to our iNaturalist project Gall Week May 2026. 

• Join our spring BioBlitz at Hellyer County Park, San Jose, and celebrate Gall Week! Saturday 5/2, from 9:00-11:30 am. More info here.

How to get started? 

You can look for specific host plants, specific groups of gall inducers, or any galls you find interesting. If you've never done this before, you can check what are the best host plants in your area. You can use gall or insect books from your area, websites (such as Gallformers.org), and iNat. You can also browse many of the gall observations on iNaturalist, and you can limit the search by adding a location on this page (country/ region/ city/ park).
