About the event
Join us for our seasonal BioBlitz at Hellyer Park! We keep coming back to Hellyer Park, as it has a few interesting habitats to explore: Cottonwood Lake, Coyote Creek with its riparian vegetation, and many trees scattered around the park. The diverse native vegetation attracts many insects and birds, as well as mammals, reptiles, and amphibians.
We will explore the park in small groups, and document every living thing using iNaturalist. No previous knowledge necessary. You can view hundreds of species of animals, plants, fungi, and others documented on iNaturalist so far in the park here.
