About the event
Come visit our table and learn about the Newt Patrol study. Chat with our volunteers and play some newt games!
The Newt Patrol is a group of community scientists that have been advocating for the Lexington Reservoir newt population since 2017. In addition to documenting over 36,000 newts dead on the road so far, we also advocate for wildlife crossings for them, do outreach events like this one, and help them cross the road at night.
This event is part of the Mushroom Weekend at Filoli, including our Saturday BioBlitz event, mushroom walks, and other tables.
