About the event

Since 1993, twice a year we survey 250 points across Jasper Ridge, documenting the Argentine ant invasion into the preserve. In this 1st session, we will teach you how to identify the most common Bay Area ants in the lab and in the field, and talk about the survey routines. Join us to support one of the longest running studies in invasive species ecology. For background about Bay Area ants you can view this webinar.

On 5/10 from around 8:30-12:30 we will conduct the actual ant survey itself.

You can sign up here, or email Merav if you'd like to participate - meravvon@gmail.com. Even if you can't make it this time, email me if you'd like to join the ant survey mailing list, to be notified about future surveys.
