Coyote Valley Open Space Preserve

550 Palm Ave, Morgan Hill, CA 95037, USA

A fun hike through Coyote Valley OSP, admiring the native oak trees and their associated galls. This event is a collaboration with Saved By Nature and Open Space Authority.

Join us for a hike in Coyote Valley Open Space Preserve to learn about the local oaks and their associated galls. The preserve has at least six of our native oak species -  the more common Coast Live Oak, Valley Oak, and Blue Oak, and also Black Oak, Leather Oak, and Canyon Live Oak. Fall is the best time to learn about oak galls. Still not sure what galls are? Join us!
